The Amethyst crystal colour of purple and violet comes from iron particles found in the crystal. Amethyst corresponds to the (crown chakra) located at the top of the head which oversees the balance of the chakra system and higher spiritual growth.
In my experience Amethyst is a wonderful, gentle and helpful crystal. I would recommend anyone to have at least one piece of Amethyst if they are going to buy crystals for healing. It has a variety of uses which I will discuss in further detail below. It also is a lovely in colour which varies slightly from piece to piece. However it is a purple – violet colour.
Experiences I have had with Amethyst:
One day, a few years ago now I had a really bad headache and had to lie down on my bed, to see if I could rest in order to ease my headache. However resting was not working and I didn’t want to take any pain killers as I try to avoid in doing so. So I decided that I would use one of my tumbled pieces of Amethyst to soothe my headache, it’s just something I felt I should try. So after grabbing my tumbled piece of Amethyst I decided to lie on my bed and place the Amethyst piece on my forehead (where my third eye chakra is located). I left it there for about 3-5 minutes and then held it against each of my temples for again about 3-5 minutes each side. After which I had found my headache had dissipated and my head felt clear and lighter after a few more minutes my headache had practically disappered altogether.
It is the most useful all-purpose crystal to be used by crystal healers. It is a powerful and highly spiritual crystal.

It’s important to meditate when your developing your psychic abilities, because it opens yourself up. It allows you to be responsive to the guidance and messages that you receive for yourself or others. There are many ways to meditate and you can listen to music or listen to nothing. You can close your eyes, you can leave them open. Below I will talk about 2 different ways of mediating and how to meditate using those methods:
Closed Eyed with Music:
To start mediating using this method you must choose some music that is peaceful, relaxing or is specifically for mediation. When you first try this you may want to listen to the music before to make sure you’ll like it, and it won’t disturb you during your meditative state. Once you have your music, next is to choose a quiet place to sit or lie down whatever is most comfortable. Just make sure you don’t fall asleep when lying down. Once lying down or sitting and your comfortable turn the music on and close your eye, start breathing deeply in and out and try to slow your breathing down. While doing this let all you muscles relax and start to become heavier and heavier. When you are at a relaxed state concentrate on a place that you enjoy, you can even create this imagine yourself there. In time you will get better and better at visualising this and it won’t take as much time to do. This will become your happy place and later it this is where you will be able to meet your guides later on and will be explained in a further blog post.
Closed Eyed without Music:
To start mediating using this method you must find some where that is quiet and comfortable. When you have found some where quiet and comfortable, you can sit or lie down during mediation. Just be aware some people fall asleep when they are mediating, so you may want to sit. I would recommend do what ever is comfortable and see how you go first. Firstly close your eyes when sitting or lying down, start breathing deeply in and out try to slow your breathing down. While doing this let all you muscles relax and start to become heavier and heavier. When you are at a relaxed state concentrate on a place that you enjoy, you can even create this imagine yourself there. In time you will get better and better at visualising this and it won’t take as much time to do.
